WORK

Life is good at this end, i am not hating my work… getting used to what i am doing and i am more apt now… love the interaction etc…. had a few close colleagues… some new ones… but i am good in this aspect

Ryan can finally walk!!! lol… so happy… MIL moved out already…. that is another story… but things are getting better… though i am still not talking to her…

I am in HK meeting my cloth diaper supplier… so i am good… =)

In my previous work, colleagues were ok, honest bunch. Of course some idiots who think highly of themselves etc and wanna bootlick…

But this job, each one has his or her own products to handle and thus little back stabbing but alot of ‘shows’ to prove that his or her work is better. I do not have a mass comm background and I can’t say that write wonderfully. But I am the bloody honest but blur at times fellow who tends to be forgetful at times…

There is this guy who was handling my products before. Well he is helpful when free but give wrong info at times. I asked him abt something which he said he so didn’t know abt and asked me to ask my bug big boss. In the end, I forgot that my boss have told me abt it before and sort of embarassed myself infront of my big big boss. Of course small boss not too happy as she tot that I accused 3 person of not knowing etc. Cos my first reaction was but xxx told me dun have and that xxx denied!!!! Erggggg.. How could u denied it? U r the one who told me to check with the big big boss leh! Erggggg

anyhow, learnt my lesson. Not matter what happens dun find excuse. Just accept and move on… Cos no point lah….

Just dislike the timing and frequent ot… Hate it!

1 room left to be unpacked… sighz… excuses excuses etc… on why i didnt have time to do anything… BUT… lol, i have been taking baby steps this week and i am pretty pleased with the progress… HAPPY!

Well the room is still kind of in a mess cos still sorting out things… But hopefully will get it sorted soon.

R&R room is packed….to the best we can… But hopefully when we hv saved enough $$$$ we can make a cupboard for the 2 of them cos the current cupboard is full….

Bought lots of plastic boxes (READ: supporting the petchem industry) from Toyogo and Ikea… to put items for my Mummy Knows Best Shop etc… very HAPPY… so i can be more organised etc…

Cant wait for the room to be cleared and everything to be in place… for a HOME OFFICE… hehehhehehe

Note: even if you buy boxes from Toyogo at Toa Payoh warehouse directly, sometimes it is cheaper at places like Carrefour or Giant…

Gosh, i have MIA…. for a long time… not that i wish to… But cos i was forced to move out of the old flat and into the new flat despite reno at only 10%… thus busy with the cleaning… packing… more cleaning…. more interviews thereafter…

after like 7-8 interviews, i have finally gotten an offer… took a huge paycut… but at least it has potential to move on…

wanted to go into doulaing full time if all else fails… i am still heading in that direction definitely… it is still my love and passion… but for now, i will have to pay the bills first since cos of the new flat etc…

planning to learn as much, save as much and then go back to where i have left off… of course, a huge diversion from my initial plans… but i guess these things happened for a reason…

from my interviews this time round, i have realised that i have actually ‘wasted’ 2 years profession wise cos i was not putting enough effort as i focus more on my online biz… this time round, the interviews made me realise that i have to have a PLAN… to know what i want and which direction to head…

even a call from a fellow doula in training has set my thoughts turning… that i have not put much effort into this… too much things and not enough time and effort put in? yes… and i am all set to change that… 2010 is ending and 2011 will be something new!!!!! i will be back! =P

Karen, if u are reading this, i have not completed what you have asked… i apologise!!!! =( i didnt spend enough time… but i will text u and let u know… working in RP…. so can meet up! from next mon

I am kind of disappointed since I am usually the prey and not the predator. But guess what is mine will be mine… No time to think of this issue. Guess I will just look out for tml papers and updated my website next week

anyway, i was asked what i want to do in the future… well, i was utterly stumped… cos if you ask me, i would have said i wanna be a doula, i wanna helped mummies… but at the professional front… honestly, just get a job and get paid and do my own things…

how to bullshit? i dunno… how to answer this? i have to think… and for now, i have not thought of an answer that even i am convinced about…

how will the job search go? i really dunno… but unless i can convince people that i know what i wanna do in the future, and convince myself at that, it will be difficult to proceed….

No, i didnt quit… not on impulse though i very much wanted to… of course mah, i am the PRACTICAL one (ya right) and i have the most practical hubby… lol… 

But yes, my position was made redundant yest… officially 31 oct… I was made to leave in the noon right away… and guess how many boxes i brought away? 10!!!! OMG…. cos i have a huge office… lol… no lah… cos i horde things in my office… that’s why… 

anyhow, yest was really the down down cycle of my life yet again… we have just signed for our new house yest… and this happens… during the appt at HDB another drama cos housing agent FORGOT that she has to set aside time for the lawyer to withdraw the $ for the completion etc… and i almost have to sell my cpf investments… sighz… 

and went back to the office… was scolded by a PMSing or maybe hormonal or menopausing colleague at work… for being IRRESPONSIBLE… for leaving the office for 3 hours (hey it was 2 hours and 1 hour of lunch time k)… (1) i told the project manager the night before (2) i worked OT the night before to clear as much work but cant stay later cos R2 wasnt feeling well (3) i told her it was urgent and asked her to call me asap, waited till the last moment to leave the office and i called her but she wasnt around (her answer to me was I CANT EXPECT her to be in HER office the WHOLE DAY!… 

well, i know how she was like cos i was scolded same time last year… thus, let her continue to scold over the phone lor… she paste a post it with “WHERE ARE YOU” on my PC screen… she said she didnt know where i have gone to but i have told my colleague who have related to her the message… anyhow, continued that she cant depend on me etc etc… 30 mins later, she walked in and treated me so nicely cos she wanna me to help her to do some things… lol

anyhow, before i can help her, i was called up to meet with HR and boss etc… thus, whole noon was spent packing… my boss asked how come i was so calm etc, i said i expected it (of course i didnt know it was me lah) but with the downsizing and cost cutting measures, someone has to go and i am really glad it was me… =P wish he hurried on to the benefits etc… lol… anyhow, the benefits  - not much but enough for me to rest for a week and then resume lookign for a job while working on my biz… 

so… the only way to go is back back back UP!!!!…. lol… cant wait to embrace whatever life has instore… as long as the kids are fine, our health is fine, i have no complains… even if it mean cutting down on my expenses… BUT lol, 1 last mocha….. 

“life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you will get”… and you may be in for a surprise… who knows, it will be your favorite choco in there…..

P/S: my mum knows and she is sooooooo supportive….. said i can work on my biz while packing for the new house… BUT please do not even ask my MIL… wanna a break before telling her and caring for ryan for part of the week next week… she doesnt know yet… =P will tell her over the weekend… =P

CHEERS TO LIFE! i feel blessed… so many times over after this incident… =)
